Kootenay Storytelling Festival Mission Statement: To keep our History alive through the Art of Storytelling.
Across North America, the art of storytelling is growing in popularity; festivals and events like this one are capturing the imagination of a population looking to find their roots and be entertained at the same time.

It has truly been an exciting time for the Kootenay Storytelling Festival in Procter.
Call it luck, call it a celestial alignment, or perhaps it was one of the great Muses smiling upon us, but this Kootenay cultural event has a great year behind it and a fortuitous time ahead.
